Business Plan A service you can explain. Numbers you understand.
Build your service on a plan you can explain.
A useful business plan connects your care model with local demand, staffing and realistic finances. CQC requests this with domiciliary care and supported living applications. Its current care-home checklist says to keep the plan and forecast ready if requested.
Your service model, intended clients, delivery area and company background.
Evidence of local demand, competitors and a clear basis for your pricing.
Ownership, management structure and responsibility for key tasks.
Staffing and operating assumptions that match the proposed service.
Financial forecasts, including a monthly breakdown of income and expenses for the first 12 months where required.
When does CQC need it?
Domiciliary care and supported living applicants submit a business plan and forecast with their application. CQC’s current care-home checklist places them among documents to keep ready if requested. Follow the current checklist for your service. A business forecast is different from a financial viability statement; we confirm separately whether that statement is required.
Consultancy supports your responsibilities; it does not transfer them.
