What should I know about policies and ongoing support?

The policy service is a separate subscription alongside your one-off preparation fee. Initial CQC registration policies are included in Registration, even without a portal subscription. Complete has a 12-month minimum term and Ultimate a 24-month minimum term. Both continue monthly at the same rate after that term until cancelled. Confirm portal access, update arrangements, cancellation notice and access after cancellation in your written agreement before payment.

Every registration package includes WhatsApp support, a dedicated application manager, video consultation anytime, responses to all CQC queries and an end-to-end registration service. The ongoing operational policy subscription and optional interview Q&A with a preparatory call remain separately selectable.

BUILD YOUR OWN PACKAGE

Any documents required for your application are still needed, even when you do not buy them from us. Interview preparation remains optional.

Your basket uses the same item prices, eligible package discount and first-month subscription arrangement. Online payment remains unavailable until Stripe is connected and tested.

When should you arrange your operational policies?

Arrange your operational policies well before your CQC interview, so you and your Registered Manager have time to read the relevant documents, familiarise yourselves with them and understand how they apply to your service.

Registration includes your initial CQC registration policies. The separate Policy Management Portal subscription provides access to the wider operational library and ongoing updates. You can also arrange suitable operational policies elsewhere.

YOUR INFORMATION CHECKLIST

7What do you
need to provide?

Your dedicated application manager will explain the details needed and help you work through any gaps. Provide accurate information and use the agreed secure channel for personal documents.

We prepare the applications from your information. You review and approve the completed drafts.

01 / PROVIDER & MANAGER DETAILS

Provide the business and contact details needed for the provider application, the proposed Registered Manager’s application details, and information about your service, location and management arrangements.

02 / REGISTERED MANAGER’S CV

Your manager’s current CV

Provide an up-to-date CV showing relevant experience, qualifications and employment history. Your application manager will ask about any gaps or further details needed for the application.

03 / DBS

The relevant DBS evidence

CQC’s DBS requirements ↗

As preparation progresses: respond to information requests and review and approve your drafts. Your checklist will also identify any existing policies or other evidence needed for your particular application.

CQC fees, obtaining DBS checks, staffing, premises and third-party charges remain separate unless your written agreement expressly includes them. The 10-working-day target covers our preparation work, not time waiting for a DBS result or CQC’s registration decision.

YOUR PREPARATION TIMESCALE

8When will your
documents be ready?

10working days
Start to Finish

Our target for your agreed registration-document preparation is 10 working days from the agreed deposit or full payment being recorded.

  • Working time is Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm UK time, excluding England/Wales bank holidays.
  • The preparation clock pauses while we await information from you or your review and approval of work we have sent.
  • The clock resumes when your response allows us to continue the work.

This target covers our agreed document preparation, not CQC’s assessment or registration decision. Policy updates continue under your subscription; optional interview coaching is scheduled for when you need it.

NEW TO HOMECARE?

10What does domiciliary care involve?

Read the explanation and an everyday example

UNDERSTAND THE SERVICE

What is domiciliary care?

Domiciliary care—also called homecare—is care and support delivered in a person’s own home. The person stays at home while care workers visit, rather than moving into a care home.

01

Personal care

Visits can include help with washing, dressing, toileting or eating and drinking when someone cannot manage these themselves.

02

Everyday routines

Care visits are planned around the person’s assessed needs and preferences, with clear arrangements for recording and communicating changes.

03

Support at home

Your care model sets out who you will support, the visits your team will deliver and how you will manage the service.

AN EVERYDAY EXAMPLE

What might a day of
homecare look like?

A fictional illustration, not a client story or a prescribed care plan.

Meet Margaret.

Margaret lives in her own bungalow. After a period of illness, she wants to stay at home but needs help with parts of her daily routine. A homecare agency agrees a visiting schedule around her assessed needs and preferences.

  1. Morning

    A comfortable start

A care worker helps Margaret wash and get dressed, then supports her with breakfast.

  2. Afternoon

    Help with everyday life

A visit might include collecting shopping and spending time talking with her.

  3. Evening

    Support before bedtime

A care worker returns to help her use the toilet and change into night clothes.

Margaret receives personal care in her own home. The agency needs to prepare its people, documents and operating arrangements for the service it intends to provide.

OUR SERVICE APPROACH

02 / CLEAR SCOPE

03 / YOUR CHOICE

Use suitable existing documents, arrange services elsewhere or add coaching. Interview preparation with us stays optional.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

12What else would
you like to know?

Can I use policies or a business plan I already have?

Yes. Leave that service out of your custom package and discuss your existing documents with us. We can discuss suitable existing documents rather than duplicating work. Initial CQC registration policies are included in Registration; you do not need the separate portal subscription to receive those initial policies.

Are initial policies included in Registration?

Yes. The £2,400 VAT-inclusive Registration service includes the initial CQC registration policies. The separate Policy Management Portal subscription is for ongoing access and updates.

Do I have to buy interview preparation?

No. Our interview preparation is optional. Choose it if you would like additional guidance through the Interview Q&A and Video Preparatory Call service.

Does your fee include CQC’s fees?

CQC and third-party charges are separate unless your written proposal explicitly says otherwise. Your basket shows consultancy and subscription items, not every cost of starting an agency.

Does the 10-working-day target include time waiting for me?

No. Time awaiting your information or your review of drafts is paused. The target concerns our agreed preparation work, not CQC’s assessment timescale.

What support do I receive throughout registration?

Every registration package includes WhatsApp support, a dedicated application manager, video consultation anytime and responses to all CQC queries as part of our end-to-end registration service. You review and approve your application documents. Interview Q&A and the Video Preparatory Call are separately selectable; they are different from the consultations included with registration.

Can I pay online or book a meeting?

You can review your services in the store or open the consultation page. Payments and online booking become available after their account connections are completed. You can also contact a consultant using the WhatsApp button below.

TAKE THE NEXT STEP

13How would you
like to go ahead?
